Influences

I recently did a presentation to the junior illustrators at the University of the Arts, where my good pal Chris Patchell teaches. The presentation began with talking about my studio, schedule and projects, but it also included this image tiling of influences on my work. Some images represent artists I admire, other pieces are about a mood or style that resonates with me so I thought I would share it. Enjoy.

Tim your lecture was fantastic! It really got my gang motivated and excited. I'll let you know how they fair with their thumbnails and color comps after your demo. Looking forward to our talk this week. Tom Waits + Jim Henson = Rowlf the Dog!

This is awesome. I may have to do one as well!

Also, did you give the class a speech about staying positive or did you give them the first punch in the face that awaits them once they hit the the real world? ;)

Thanks Patch and Eric.

Eric- It depends on which class! Freshmen usually get the "here's the cool stuff I do!" Juniors get more real world experience and war stories. Haha.

Tim!
I likewise used the artist in the upper left of this for a presentation in Patch's class, albeit it as a student, and I cannot remember the name! What is it??
Cheers
